i have a 2 year old working black lab, she doesnt work, just working type.
She is very very clingy and intense, wanting to be stuck to you at all times.

When i throw something for her to fetch, she runs after it, then just turns round and runs straight back to me, jumping up, nearing knocking me flying!

Any ideas, how to get her to retrieve?

hi i have one like that to, she will retrieve, but just likes to be your shadow all the time, if you pat her head she just falls over and waits for you to make a fuss of her, i luv her to bits.

Hi guest try and find someone with a dog who will retrieve and throw the ball/dummy for both of them ,naturally the dog who will retrieve will bring it back ,keep doing this until he/she is keen to try and pick it up then throw the dummy but hold the other dog back so hopefully your dog will retrieve. this usually works but not always!!! :)
