As you all know my girl has been losing over the past week, well we went to the vets this morning to have her scanned.....I told my vet I didn't want any poking and prodding, just a straight forward scan...........I could not believe my eyes, there on the scanner, were 3 little pups happily swimming in their sacks, my vet said there were probably more but she would leave it at that.

After the week I've just had I came out of there with tears in my eyes.

She couldn't say for certain if she had lost any, but she was pretty certain she also had cystitis, as she is peeing frequently, this would also produce small blood clots like we have been seeing...............I know it's going to be a very long 5 weeks ahead of us, but there is something to look forward to.  So we start another 7 day course of anti-biotics and hopefully things will go smoothly now!

I am so happy for you sharon. :)
I've been following your thread, and no how upset you must of been.
When I saw the title of this new thread, I was hoping it was going to be something like this.
Good luck over the next few weeks, I for one will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

panic? what me panic?  panic?  no never.............lol.

I'm still going to be paranoid no matter what I've been told, but at least I feel a lot happier than I did at the weekend, probably got lots of making up to do with the kids now, I was like a bear with a sore head over the weekend.

Inca:  hope your toothache gets better soon!

Hi Sharon, I am so very pleased for you and your girl, I know exactly what your going through. When my girl was 2.5 wks she had a blood/ green discharge so took her to the vets and they said that she was losing the pups.
I was absolutely devastated, this was her first mating.
I took her back 1.5 wks ater and there was oadsa pups at least 10.
We took her back for another scan last week at 6 wks to check everything was ok and they said at least 7 pups, may be more they couldnt quite tell.

Try not to worry too much like I have been doing coz you'll only give yourself a headache lol :)

Keep up thr good work and give her loads a hugs from us all

I've got lots of making up to do with my poor children.......I have been like a bear with a sore head this past week, still when I told them our girl still had puppies in her tummy the look on their faces brought tears to my eyes again!!

I'm still going to be paranoid, but at least I know there is something there now and hope it continues, since posting I've had lots of PM's saying how so many bitches actually bled all the way through their pregnancies, which has been comforting to know that I am not the only one it's happened to!

Fingers crossed for the next 5 weeks...............gosh I think it's going to be a very long 5 weeks!
