hello everyone!! ive got a question to ask we will soon be getting two puppies, a soft coated wheaten terrier and a papillon. Now, we all ready have a wheaten and she has lived with two dogs before who sadly died last year the question is do we get the wheaten first and wait till shes about a year old or do we get the wheaten then the after about 3 months? please help!

I think a slightly longer gap than 3 months would probably be better, it will allow you more time to settle in your new puppy and allow it to learn your house rules. If you have two pups close together they learn to depend on each other, and learn from each other. Therefore you will find it much harder to train the pups and to teach them what is acceptable in your household.

I would say the other way around get the little dog firtst, then get the wheaten, as otherwise you might find the bitgger dog could inadvertently hurt the smaller pup not knowing it's own stren=gth, wheras it will respect the older toy dog as an adult if you get the wheaten later.  Hopefully the wheaten you already have is sensible enough to be OK with the tiny pup..
