I have a six year old golden retreiver dog that I want to breed from. How and where do I go to find him a suitable mate. Most of the retreivers where I live (in Winchester) are male and the few females are either too old or are already spoken for! Please HELP me

Believe me Justin if you want a puppy it is much easier to go back to your dogs breeder and ask if you can buy one. I assume the reason you want to breed your dog is because you would like another from his lines. The truth of the matter is that breeding him can prove far more expensive than buying a puppy and it may well change him to the extent that you will regret ever having considered it.

Has he had all the necessary tests for his breed.  I'd leave it at his age really, although I no dogs to sire pups at a much later age but they have been used previously.
