my neighbour has today bought home a nine week old puppy which has already had a temporary vaccination. Can anyone advise on how old the pup should be before it has its next one and because it has had a temporary one, should it still have both courses of the proper vaccination? She will be ringing the vet on Monday but would just like to hear other peoples opinions in the mean time.

Most pups have their first vaccination about 8 weeks and then again at 12 weeks. Did the breeder not give advise? The vet will advise you on their particular vaccination routine when you ring but it is always a good idea to go for a health check as soon as you get a pup to make sure all is well.
