Having seen a Briard whilst on holiday in France and looked extensively on internet and in books on the suitability of the Briard as a family pet, we are keen to buy a Briard sometime next year.
We have one small child and another on the way later this year. We also have a very soppy cocker spaniel. We therefore need to ensure that a Briard will get on with both the children and the other dog.
Any advice anyone could give us would be very welcome.
It is likely that we will be living in France later next year, so it may be easiest for us to buy a dog there - are you able to recommend any breeders in the South of France? Are you also able to recommend any dog training centres around Cannes/Nice area?
What time of year is it possible to buy puppies? Are you able to give us any indication of cost?
If we were to buy a puppy in the UK, how long would it be before he was able to have all the injections required to transport him to France?
We look forward to hearing from anyone able to help with the above questions.
Kind regards
Shan & Tony Rose
