Just a thought...
but if you're having trouble finding a stud dog, how on earth are you going to find suitable homes for Saint pups?

Hi guest
can I strongly reccomend you talk to your girls breeder before proceeding he/she will hopefully be able to advice you on known health problems and the correct bloodlines to use on your bitch ,they may even be able to suggest a stud for you to use, failing that contact the breed club for advice.
Large dogs a prone th hip dysplasia you will need to have her hips xrayed by your vet and the xrays submitted to the BVA/KC scheme for scoring ,she will need to achieve a reasonable score for the breed before considering breeding from her.
She should also have her eyes tested for hereditory disease.
good luck :)

You will also need to arrange for someone to be with the bitch for at least 8 weeks 24/7 as large breeds can kill their pups by squashing them whilst grooming themselves, so someone has to watch the whole time. You will also have to make sure that the stud owner has experience in studding as damage can be caused to the bitch or dog or both, you will also need to have a vet on stand by for the whelping. First thing is to find out what tests are required, ask the breed club or your breeder for suitable studs, visit the studs to make sure they are suitable, get all the health tests done and passed and make sure the bank balance can cope with the expense of the bitches food and vet expenses and those of the growing pups.
