my 4 month old kc reg staff has hairy legs?
i have four other staffs and he is the pup of one of them.
the rest of the litter came out with all smooth hair.
any reason for this? he also has abit more hair then the average staff. not alot more but u can tell the difference.
every where he sits he leaves stips of hair about!
could he be malting?
hes not a cross!!!

I believe another guest posted a question about this some time ago - and I seem to remember the general consensus was that it's an anomaly which can occur with SBTs.  You said that it's not tremendously hairy (not Retriever proportions, then!) so it could just be the loss of his puppy coat?  Forgive me if it's too early for this, I can't remember if Benson ever did lose hers! :D

I wouldn't worry about it overmuch, unless you're planning on showing or breeding him.
