Hi

A lady who lives close by to me has lost her staffie bitch giving birth, she had 5 puppies and are 2/3 days old. They are hand rearing at the moment and have unfortunately lost one puppy. She could really do with finding another bitch who has milk to kindly rear her litter. She is willing to travel as far as it needs to take the pups to the bitch in the hope that they bond. She lives in the area of wallingford, close to reading.

Any advise or help would be greatly reaceived, Sharon does not have email facilities so i have posted this for her. Please if you can help email me at charlie@iason.co.uk Sharon is a lovely lady and only wants the best for the little pups.

Have you tried contacting any of the Staffie clubs in your area - they may just know of someone :)

Has she contacted all the local vets? They may know of a bitch with a phantom pregnancy, or who has lost a litter.

I think she has contacted the vets but don't think she's contacted the breed clubs. I only met this woman about 3 weeks ago so don't know her all that well, all i do know from what i've seen is she cares about this litter so much and will do her very best for them. I can only thank you guys on behalf of sharon for your kind words etc ... I'll keep you posted on any updates.

I just wanted to know if you had found a surrogate mum yet as my friend offered one of her bitches but was too far away to help.

Hi Guys

Its good news, Sharon's vet has found someone within the local area with a bitch. We all went over with the puppies earlier and the bitch loved the pups to death, she's settled down with the straight away and is tending to them as if they were her own!
