As you may remember Toby was a bit overweight so i changed his food to Burns and stopped his treats only giving him fruit/veg,
I havent had him weighed for three weeks, going to get him weighed this morning, he looks great im hopeing he has reached his ideal weight of approx 35 kg, he is a big lab so the vet does'nt expect him to go below 35kg,
so please keep fingers crossed for him, i will let you know what he weighs when i return :)

just got back and o dear he has only lost 0.6kg i am so disappointed, last time i had him weighed he lost 2.2kg it seems to have slowed right up :(
He gets plenty of walks, think its time to cut his food down more and see how we do with that,
On his sack of Burns it says for a dog his size to give between 300-450gr at the moment i give him 300gr,
Come to think of it i need to order another sack of Burns think i may try him on Burns oats,
has anyone tried this and had any success?
the vet told me it can take a while to loose the weight, poor Toby i know how he feels, ive been trying to loose that last half a stone for ages :D

Sorry to hear not what you were hoping for but at least he lost a bit!!!  I sympathise with him too, cant seem to shift those last few pounds (couldnt possibly have anything to do with all the junk food I eat...). Don't know about Burns but from what other people have said might it be worth phoning them for a bit of advice? They sound very helpful.
