wonder if anyone can help?  Got a 22 month old am bulldog, he's been housetrained from about 9 weeks and he's brill with my 3 children but about 1 month ago he started weeing all over the carpet and toys in there bedroom and on my stair carpet and in my wash basket of all things.  I was just wondering if anyone can help i'm not doing anything different to what he's used to but i can't understand why he is doing it, he has also had a couple of poo's in my bedroom but its totally out of the ordinary.

Has he been castrated?  Is anything different happening at home?  House move planned?  Holiday?  Job/finance problems?

Me personally I would keep him on leash, this way where ever you go so does he. This way when he goes to lift his leg you can correct him and straight outside. Keep him on leash and go outside with him to do his business and lots of praise/treat. To me it sounds like he is marking his territory. Keeping him on leash has him with you at all times, when you are unable to watch him put him in a kennel. Do allow free time off leash when you are able to give your full 100% attention to him. This way he learns that your house is to be respected and its your home not for him to mark. You can also play and feed him in his favorite marking spots, since most dogs don't like to eat where they mark.

Good luck :)

Edit to add: Do you have any intact bitches around?

Thanks for your advice, I have started feeding him in the boys bedroom and haven't had any change so far but i'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I think the leash idea is a great one but i am finding it quite hard with my children being so young, they keep me very busy. I have no bitches around.

You may not have an inseason bitch around - but the scent of a bith can travel quite a way, and have a bad effect, particularly on an adolescent dog :(  Has your baby started walking yet?  This can also be a change that can unsettle a dog......

He hasn't been castrated and i can't think of anything different to normal happening in the house other than i had a baby 10 month ago but as i say he has just started doing it and he's still getting the same amount of attention if not more as i am trying to make up for the baby being here.
