i have brought a staff. its not kc reg.
i was wondering what features do staffs have that no other dogs have so i could see if its a true stafford?

Wht not look at the staffs on this website and see how close your dog is in appearance? But unless you buy a KC reg dog you don't know what your dogs background is. Even if it looks like a staff it could have any combination of breeds amongst its' ancestors, and may have a completely different temperament - if you want a true staff why not go for a KC registered dog that is true to type?

Even buying a KC registered dog won't guarantee you that it is what it's supposed to be, although you are safer :)

Staffies do all tend to look very similar, but there is a wide range of coat colours and markings.  I'm presuming this is just out of idle interest, as you can't show the dog?  As Poppynurse suggested, you could look on Staffie websites, or get some books from the library.  Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy your dog :)
