My wife and i are very interested in this breed and we are thinking of getting one. But before we do we want to make sure that we are compatible with this dog . With this in mind were looking to find an owner of a mini schnauzer in the hampshire area and pay a visit mainly to chat with the owner and see the dog in its on enviroment. Why not visit a few shows?  There you will find lots of mini schnauzers and their owners, and will be able to chat and meet the dogs.  You can find out about shows in your area by looking in Dogworld or Our Dogs - both available at newsagents

Contact the Schnauzer Club who will be able to tell you where your nearest owner/breeder would be

If you then go to :-http://www.schnauzerclub.freeserve.co.uk/services1.htm you will find the breeders listed by county, breed size and colour. Miniture Schnauzers are delighful little dogs, intelligent and fun loving, I have not been without one for 40 years and could never imagine not having at least one. They have the added benefit of not shedding their coat so are very good for people with a dog hair allergy and most of mine have lived to be about 16yo,not a bad age for any breed. Good luck  :-D
