Hi I have a neopolitan mastiff, she is a very loving dog......to us, but if anyone enters the house we have to put her outside.  She is a very loyal dog but this has made her very over-protective especially towards myself.  I am thinking of buying a muzzle as it is becoming a growing concern, the older she gets the more protective she becomes.  Once she gets to know someone she is ok with that one person but they must take that first step with her, which not surprisingly, not many are willing to do, she looks very intimidating from the other side of glass and if I didn't know her they would be no way I would go near her.

I was also thinking about getting a trainer to help with her.

Any advice as to her aggressiveness towards strangers and her problem of jumping on people would be greatly appreciate.
