Hi all
I am looking for some advice concerning breeding from my girl. She has been hip scored (4:5) and eye tested and both results were fine.
After looking at various posts I thought I'd ask for you input and advice. I really want to breed from my girl as I would love a puppy from her for showing however, my vet thinks she might well have a food allergy. She is fine as long as she is fed Gluten free food but some other foods make her ears flair up and become really sore.I wondered if this could passed onto any puppies, and also if it is passed on is it fair to be breeding puppies that could well have the same allergies.
I sometimes think she has Ten to Two feet, but other times she stands perfectly normally, so can anyone tell me if these faults are too bad to use my bitch for breeding. I would not be breeding from her until early next year, so I am trying to make the decision as early as possible so I can find the perfect stud to compliment her. I am hoping to get a chance to talk to her breeder in the near future and let her look over my girl and she what she thinks.
Thanks for any help and advice

What breed is she? Get in touch with the breed club and go to some shows and see how she compares to the ones in the ring. Does she have a good pedigree, we would all like to find the perfect stud but you need to find one that compliments her. Is she a good example of her breed etc.
I would say though you need to find out more about her allergy to the gluten although a lot of dogs do have this problem but you need to know if it is possible to pass it on.
