my friends has been back and forward to the vet the last couple of weeks with her 7month old lab....he has been having problems with his back end...crying and not being able to get up stairs...it turns out his hips are really bad. well at least one is......and they dont know if their insurance is going to cover him and they have been refered to St Monans  to have the operation done. it is costing £1500 to have one  hip done.......and he is soo young!
They are going to keep and eye on the other hip!

Sorry to hear about your friend's lab. Just to let them know the vet they have been referred to is first rate. I was referred with my Beardie cross who sadly couldn't be helped but the vet was totally honest and never gave me false hopes. I've also heard of lots dogs who he has been able to help. Hope all goes well for your friend's dog
