Question for campers/caravanners .... am planning a longish trip in our camper and am thinking of getting some solar panels to help keep batteries charged up. Have two leisure batteries (one hooked up, one reserve) + van battery and will use power for electric fans while driving (one from cig lighter - van battery so OK I think), plus roof fan from leisure battery. No other major drains on power when stopped - basically use electricity for lights, water pump, charging camera, electric fans etc. but no heating appliances or TVs - and we have hook up so will be able to use that where possible. Ideally would like to have panels inside the van so that can charge as we drive as well as when stationary - but basically have no idea what to get. They seem to range in price hugely - from about £20 to £600+ - are the cheaper ones any good? How much charge do they provide? Is this worth doing??!
Any advice much appreciated - I have a headache from reading all the websites! ;)
Thanks

I spent ages looking into this, and the general advice I got was definatly dont bother with the under £150 panels, and expensive ones probably not worthwhile if you can get to hook up every few days.
Sorry its not very technical but thats the advice I got so i didn't bother in the end.
