Hi

can anyone give advice on how to stop a 10 mth pup standing 10 to 2 with his front feet? I have been advised to strengthen his pasterns. How do I do this?

Thanks

In my experience this is a congenital fault, and there is no way of altering it. I'm afraid it's just the way he's made. Sorry. He may still make an 'okay' show-dog, but will never be a star. :( I have one just the same.

Sorry, but I agree with Jeangenie. I noticed this fault in my Irish Setter when he was 12 weeks old, he's 'in at the elbow' and there's nothing that will change it. You must learn to disguise it when you set the dog up, some days it will work better than others.
