Hello everyone, well Nugget had 9 live pups and 1 stillborn. 6 boys 3 girls. She did not pass the dead pup and I have to take her in for a jab of oxicotin, but lucky for us that did the trick. It was a little touch and go for awhile as the pup was bigger then the rest and being dead it did not respond or wiggle at all when she pushed so it was stuck at the valva. I assisted her by breaking the sack and waiting until her next push then I felt until I found the ears and slowly rotated the head and pulled in a downward motion and help ease it out. It sure was scary, but after the head cleared and the front legs she pushed it the rest of the way out. She is resting with her 9 others now and very proud of herself indeed.

I'm so glad that I took her in for the extra xray this morning. Knowing that the pup was dead and not knowing for sure if she had passed it without me knowing we had to have an xray to find out for sure. I wasn't about to take any chances. They said the little boy looked to big and that they thought she'd most likely need surgery tomorrow morning to get it out. But the shot worked and we are all doing well. So the update is that the original scan was wrong we had 10 total not eight. And everyone is doing well. I have tried to reactivate my account but for some reason the site is not responding with a registration confromation. I've already emailed the admin.

Thank you for all your guidence. I was on the site repeatedly looking for how long after the waters broke. And so many other things I can't even tell you. Even though I was unable to email back and forth with the site I was still able to access so much information. You guys are great.
