Are dogs like women, who usually manage it easier second time around?
What breed is she?
Have you had a sweepstake as to how many she will have?

Jacky,
I know some do it and some don't but I would never be without my themometer ever.
I do the temp reading 3 times a day in the last 7 days , the drop for any length of time tells you they are ready to come. A lot of people say that you can tell by watching and you don't need to take the temp. Both of my litters the temp is what gave it away not other real obvious signs. Thing is if it drops for any length of time and nothing happens you can at least speak to your vet etc for advice.
