My pups are now 11 days old 5 in litter and all doing well. Bitch also looks in very good condition.  My question is that i want to take them to vets tomorrow thurs for the start of there worming program and to vet check them. Should i take my bitch with them and should i also get her wormed again she was last wormed 3 weeks into her preg.

Why don't you ask your vet? He'd be the best one to know.

There is no way would I take a litter of pups of that age to the vet, they would be put at risk from all sorts of infection.

Ask your vet to prescribe a worming regime that you can give to them at home.  The earliest I would take them to the vet for a vet check is 6 weeks, and even then I ask for an appointment either before surgery or after to ernsure no other dogs are present int he waiting room.

I can't quite understand why it would be necessary to take them to the vet if all is well.  The vet can recommend wormer that is suitable without actually having seen the pups.

As far as I am aware there is only one worming product licenced for use during pregnancy and that is generally given daily from day 40ish onwards.

You can worm your pups without your vets intervention - I assume you had your bitch checked out post-whelping? so your vet is aware you have pups.  If so he should be happy to prescribe a worming product for your canine family.

If you really feel a vet is necessary then why not do what most of us do post whelping and get your vet to visit?
