I have recently switched my 1 year old ckcs to the venison and rice burns diet. She actually eats it all which she didn't with science plan. I'm just concerned that she's lost 0.3kg since being on it. Her coat look gorgeous and she seems ok but should I be worried.
The 3 month old one has been swopped to mini bites and the food never touches the side of her bowl - she even sits and waits patiently for it to be given to her. She has gained 1kg since being on it and also has a lovely coat (albeit a puppy coat).

Thanks Marie

Don't forget you should be looking for fit and healthy not necessarily weight and this should be gauged by hand and eye rather than the scales.  If you are concerned up her intake a little.

My 8 month old Gordon Setter has been on Burns for the past 5 and half months, and he too has thrived on it, gorgeous coat etc, however Burns do actually state that some dogs will initially lose weight on their food as it contains so much less "waste", which is why you need to feed them less. The feeding guide on the sack is a pretty good indication on how much to feed - go by that, if you still feel she isnt getting enough gradually increase the amounts ;I know when Murphy is getting too much as his poo becomes runny!!!

Put my lab onto Burns, my lab was on Beta and put lots of weight on, since putting him on Burns (and no treats apart from fruit/veg) he is slowly loosing the weight, about 2lb a week, his coat has always been good but its even better since Burns, so soft and silky, if he goes below the weight he should be then i shall increase the amount of Burns and maybe give him a few treats.
