Can anyone  tell me about Cartrophen vet. And if they have uesd it on their dog and did it help ?. did it have any bad side effects?. thanks

My sister used it for her dog with arthritis, and she did very well on it. Injected once a week for 4 weeks, and then she could go several months without another session. Talked about it to my vet as an option for my girl who can't have Metacam anymore, and he said some dogs it works great for others it doesn't seem to do a thing. Not heard of any bad side effects. My girl is managing on Cortaflex quite well at the moment (Glucosamine & Chondroitin supplement), so holding off on medication as with kidney failure we have to try and avoid so many things!
