Topic Dog Boards / General / 13 weeks with great sense of humur!
- By MaxStaff [gb] Date 18.05.04 22:59 UTC
My SBT pup is now 13 weeks old.
He does some funny things, such as, if he is drinking his water and needs the toilet at same time, and you say his name, he stamps his back legs. (as though to keep it in)
When we first got him he used to do handstands when he was eating!
If he is at the top of the stairs and we are on our way up, he backs up wiggling his bum and wagging his tail, then scratches the top stair!

It's almost like he is smiling!!

Anyone else have a SBT or any other dog for that matter that does this kind of stuff?
It would be interesting to hear from you.....

Thanks,
Ashleigh

Hi
I have a 3 yr old staffy dog who still does a handstand to pee :) he has done this since a youngish pup though he dont do it has much as when he was younger, people cant believe what they are seeing when he does it out in the street up his favorite lamp post the post is in a busy street and its a bit embrassing having people stop to watch your dog having a pee

Hi stanlib,

That is rather amazing stuff!! That would be very commical.

I don't know if you find this, but when mine is very excited to see you, he smiles. (or looks like he does)

He loves meeting new people and other dogs.
When he is out for a walk, anyone who is walking past he thinks they want to fuss him. He goes up to them wagging his tail (and smiling).

I think they are the dogs with the best sense of humur!

candy my staffy bitch pup isn't allowed in my teenage daughters bedroom, so she literally dances on the metal carpet strip outside lucys room if she wants to go in and see her but knows she can't.she also barks at smoke from barbecues and puts a really dramtaic cough on!!my labs have personalities too but they aren't as funny as candy, thats why we're getting another little staffy boy on sunday.:)

Hi candie,

That has just reminded me about what mine did yesterday.
We were at the jet wash. I was sitting in the car with Max and my bf was washing the car.

Whenever he sprayed the jet wash on the window Max just went crazy, trying to bite it and barking at it!

My 9 year old staffie sits on the front seat of the car in the car wash place at the end of the towm, when they start spraying the cleainging stuff on which blocks out all of the windows she follows them all round the car snapping at the foam and then when they wash it off she follows the spray of water with her head going from side to side at the same rate a s the gun....it is so funny to watch and the guys in the wash bed do it really whick sometimes and laugh at her antics!

We have two Staffy Girls, Mother and Daughter. :) The other night my Hubby mentioned about getting another Staffy, the two girls where looking at him, and then he said , "but then again when Maisie {the Daughter} was at her boyfriends house it was very quite and  nice".
OMG you should of seen the look on Maisie's face,  she dropped her bottom lip and held her head low looking up at him with this very sad face indeed.....Who said they don't understand what you say to them......LOL
Amber also has "Amber Time"....lol its when she lies on her back and she kicks her legs up, back arched, rubbing her head on the Carpets and barks  really funny yap and does like a growl, not a nasty one, she is just in so much pleaser using the carpet to scratch her Crevasse, "the top of her head"....
Maisie, well you could drive out the drive way, and then back up the drive way, open your door and she runs right over, and puts her front paws on ya leg and is all smiles and looks at ya like she is saying where ya been Mum, what ya brought me, can I have it now....It doesn't matter if you have been gone two seconds or two hours its Hello Mum what ya got me.....with a smile so wide:) she is lovely.. I love my Babys:)

Also Staffies Do Smile..:) its a Wonderful thing to see,

So, was it like she wanted to get another or didn't she?
It is so weird itsn't that they know what you are saying, and they know what you mean?

I am definately getting another one, just don't know when yet.
