hi all, since my last posting of the birth of our gorgeous babies, we hit a problem, holly the mum, was losing blood quite often, on our visit to the vets we asked about it, as we know that some blood loss after giving birth is normal, but the amount increased rather than de-creased! so after yet another call to the vet, we took her along, after blood tests they have decided they have no idea how to stop the bleeding and that her 'pcv' count is very low, and she is now in their care on a drip, and will be speyed first thing in the morning as an emergency case, they decided as her blood levels are so low, she needed the drip to help get fluid back into her.
any one had any experience of a case like this? im obviously worried to bits for my girl, this is her 3rd litter, and we had a perfect birth of 10 healthy pups , and so far everything else has been fine? pups are now 3 weeks today, and are eating their 'slop' well!
from a very worried chel
