I mated my bitch exactly 3 weeks ago today. She had the first mating on the tuesday with a 30 min tie, the 2nd on the wed with a 20min tie and a 3rd mating on the friday with a 15 min tie
This time last week we started to have problems. I woke up one morning and let her out and she had chronic diahorrea with loads of blood in it,I took her straight to the vets.
The day before this she had a slight bit of brownish, green discharge.They said that it was possible that she was losing her pups!!!!!
The vet gave her something to settle her stomach which did work and asked my to go back for a scan the next day to rule out pyometra.
Any way we took her back the next morning and the vet said that there was no pyometra so they just gave her some antibiotics and said it was maybe an infection but there was a clear fluid on the womb which was consistent with an early pregnancy. That did put my mind at rest a little but I have also been reading the book of the bitch ( about the 10th time) and it says that some bitches lose their apetite during pregnancy.
Anna is usually a pig now and she didnt eat at all last night or the night before, there is no sickness yet but is this a good sign?

mine normally go off there food around the 3 week mark ...good luck sounds like you could do with some after the start you have had...perhaps book her in for a scan next week to be sure....

Thats good news for me too then as my gsd bitch is 3 weeks gone (if pregnant) and she too hasnt eaten a thing for 2 days.GSDMAD i hope your girl is feeling better as i know how worrying it is,mine had some green discharge(on day 10 after first mating) which my vet wasnt too concerned about as it cleared up in a day.Looks like our girls will be due around the same time,good luck and keep us posted on her progress.

Anna was mated on the 27,28 and the 30th of April. When was your bitch mated?
Hope everything goes well for you and your girl.
Anna decided to eat a little bit tonight but only because I put a little bit of pasta in her food.
Anna is getting her scan next tuesday so I will keep you all posted and let you know how things go

Hi gsd mad,no this isnt my first time or Jade's, she had a litter of 8 beautiful healthy pups in 2002,but has missed twice since.Funnily enough she too,ate a little of her food tonight not all of it but some so thats a start,i am tempted to add some meat but dont want to encourage her to be more fussy,i will wait and see if this finicky stage passes first.Jade is booked for a scan next wednesday and there are a couple of members on here booked in tomorrow,so its quite exciting all round,we can all compare notes lol.I hope your girl continues to do well and all goes according to plan,take care and keep us updated.
