my dogs had a great litter 18 months ago 8 healthy pups.i was hoping to breed again this season but male dog is showing no interest he is sniffing about but thats as far as it goes.any idesa why

Probably because she isn't ready.

have you thought about having her blood tested, it will tell you when she has ovulated and therefore ready to be mated.

Accept that your stud knows best, either she is not ready or has some sort of problem (infection) we are not able to know the true reason but are wise to accept what our dogs are telling us.

She's simply not ready yet, trust the stud dog, he knows best!!

No two seasons are the same, so you can't just accept that day 11 or 12 is the best day, even if your bitch is flagging, standing etc.
