Just thought I would let you all know that I brought home my little dachie puppy on Friday. We called him Nico and he is absolutely beautiful. Everyone is completely in love with him. He has settled in quite nicely and has made himself at home. First night he cried a lot (which is only to be expected) but last night he was much more settled. We gave him a safe teddy to cosy into, he loves it but not too sure if I've done the right thing there as he also tries to suckle from it. If anyone has any tips or advice it'll be much appreciated. Oh, and he is 9wks old.

Ah that's great! I think your little one would like somthing that smells of you in his bed.. old jumper..something you have worn..and the teddy  :-D

Funny you should say that cause he loves cuddles and sucking your clothing. Oh, yesterday morning my husband was having a bit of a lie in and I was looking after the puppy. The postman came and as usual left the gate open. So I took Nico upstairs for my OH to look after him while I closed the gate. Well...the pup saw his nipple and imediately latched onto it.......:) I have never ever seen my husband move soooo fast. It was really funny. Cant wait 'til I see any of his work mates, tell them he's been breastfeeding the puppy!!!!!!
