Okay - so it may just be the bottle of Jacobs Creek that I've just consumed - but I'm creasing up at Eurovision Song Contest & Terry Wogan - TW gets more subersive every year!!! :D :D :D

I'm still working out who to vote for - think I'll vote for Turkey..... :D :D :D

...I might even rejoin the TOGS (Terry's Old Gits & Gals) :D :D :D

I must admit to never watching the eurovision, but I love watching the scoring :)  Terry wogan makes me laugh with all his witty comments. I think it is to political these days. Oh by the way we got a massive 29 votes points this year ;)

I confess! I watch the introduction, go out for the songs, and return to watch the voting. It's the best way of learning what's going on in European politics, without spending hours reading the papers! :o

i watch it every year my mum loves it :P lol! i think this year we had one of the best songs , typicaly they all voted for neighbours think its time the uk stopted pumping so much money into the euro vision when its not played fair. we put the most amount into it dont see why we should. last year i quite agree wouldent give her any points this yr very good song . Mabe next year will be ( uk ) and we give 12 points to our dear neigbours ireland . i think politics had a little to do with it but its like this every year isent it .

I've not watched it for years and think its 'past its (and Terry Wogan) sell by date'. I thought last night's TV was rubbish including Dale Winton so opened a bottle of wine and watched Love Actually on video.

Ukraine won, and Norway got their traditional nul points.

And how did the lovely James do?
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 16.05.04 08:51 UTC
I think he got about 16 points - or did he get 16th place? One of the two.
:)

Hi Norway actually got some points Sweden voted for them and think James must have been 16th cos he got twenty odd points not sure about the exact total though didnt watch it all just the last part of the voting as my mates husband was coming to pick her up when it finished and we wanted to know when that would be. Don't normally watch it - but had the unusual experience last night, sitting in the departure lounge at Malta Airport, watching the Malta entry with all the Duty Free shop assistants etc glued to the TV - all the British passengers were cheering along with them :D

I don't know if I should admit this - but I tried to get my brother to 'accidently forget to wire something up on the night'. He had something to do with the sound. (He works as a sound engineer - and was in Turkey to do the E. S. C. ) Obviously he decided his job was more important than his sisters ears :D I didn't watch it. I was playing Harry Potter, The Chamber of Secrets on the PS2 all night ;)
