Hi again, sorry for asking another question, but as most of you know,Megan is on day 30,going from her 1st mating, shes one for cuddles anyway, but i cant go anywhere or do anything without her there,im not stopping her or sending her in her bed,but drawing the line at coming in the bathroom,my labs are not allowed upstairs, and she knows this but shes even taken too laying on my side of the bed when im doing my housework upstairs,i pick my keys up shes there, but my other one has been so good, not copying her,is this normal behaviour for a bitch that may be pregnant? This is her 1st litter for those of you that dont know.Julia..

If I could just get my dog off my lap I could sit in this chair properly to type a response!  Now she's sat on my feet, no mean feat (pardon the pun!) considering the size she was when I came down this morning!  I don't know what happened to her overnight but I was shocked to see a considerable change in size this morning.

Teal is normally quite independent but at the moment she doesn't leave my side, or lap for a single moment.  I don't know how I am going to convince anyone she is a well trained gundog who normally lives in a kennel, she's more of a lap dog at the moment and will happily cuddle into the side of your neck for an incredibly long time!

Fingers crossed for you both Julia :-)

She is 5 weeks today!  And if she is anything to go by, NO, you aren't imagining it!  She had definitely changed in the past few weeks and is just the soppiest dog.  She has quite a hang-dog expression at the moment and looks for sympathy everywhere!  I have noticed that other dogs react quite differently to her now and she is quite intollerant of them - probably because she remembers what happened to her last time she was introduced to a stranger.  They want a good old sniff and she is having none of it, which is unlike her too.  Our other dog then tends to leap in on the defensive, causing trouble.  Normally we can walk anywhere without a problem but I am being more vigilant at the moment.

I can't quite believe we are now starting countdown rather than counting up to halfway!
