I have a 17month old BMD who has gone 9 months between seasons. Is this normal??
I am planning to breed from her this time but would like to know if anyone has a dog in a similar situation?

Yes, nine months between seasons is perfectly normal. Are you sure breeding from her so young is the right thing to do? Most people with larger breeds wait until the bitch is at least two years old. What does the breed club Code of Ethics say?

I'm with you on this one JG...I would think it would be better to wait till her next season not this one.17 months is young for most breeds but for a large breed like a BMD it is far too early IMO
