someone came into register a new pup and i asked all the usual questions including where the pup was coming from and i was disheartened to hear it was coming from a kennels that basically is a farm, churning out numerous different breeds.  i tried to explain that there are better places to get pups from and they were not intrested the words were "its only a pet!" i explained that it is part of my job to advise people on how to get the best healthy pups and it would be wrong for me not to mention the implications of buying from puppy farms, they became very irate and actually phoned back to have a go at me.  i am upset by these now and feel i am going to get into trouble at work for trying to save them the heartache of buying a farmed pup, any way the point of all is is to ask for any links to anti puppy farm sites, particular a good leaflet and poster i can put up in the waiting room as we have no information or literature on puppy farms,
thanks,
kelly

What a good idea - the more publicity against these places the better. A link to start you off:

Puppywatch (Anwens link) has leaflets available though I sent for some in February, and even though they replied to me by email,  I'm still waiting for the leaflets to arrive. :(

Another good site is http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/hopeuk/info.htm
