My bitch is about 2 weeks along in ehr pregnancy (hoping she's pregnant anyway), she has a greenish discharge, what can it be?
I am taking her to the vet tmorrow asap.

i am sure i have heard others on hear say that a discharge is normal, but not sure what the colour is supposed to be. someone will be along soon to give you advice, they are excellent on here for that.

hi collielady,My lab bitch is 29days into her pregnancy,she went red,pink,then she was mated on her 12th and 15th days,five days after her 1st mating she had a brown discharge which has left her with a staining then she had a gluey type green discharge, i took her too the vets and she was put  on  synulox for 5 days and now she has a lovely WHITE discharge,I also know of someone else that this has happened too try not to worry to much but get it checked out.Hope this has helped a little,Fingers crossed everything works out ok keep us posted.Julia

I wouldn't be happy with a GREEN discharge.  Get her checked.

Hi Collie lady,i posted on hear recently too about green discharge as my bitch had it on day 10 after mating.My vet said to check if it was still there the next day(as i explained i wasnt keen on bringing her to the surgery leaving her open to all sorts of things unless ABSOLUTELY necessary)it wasnt there the next day so i left it as she was fine in herself.Then on sunday(day 16) i noticed a pimply thing on her vulva and a little more of the green discharge,took her to the vets the next day,they were so good though the vet nurse come out to me as i pulled up and said to keep Jade(my bitch) in the car as an appointment had run over its time and it was a suspected kennel cough case.They completely dissenfected the place from top to bottom after the dog had gone and used another room when we went in and although it was annoying having to wait all that time i was really grateful to them for it.Anyway the vet wasnt concerned about the discharge as she didnt have a temperature and concluded the it was probably a result of repeated matings which probably caused the pimply thing too,a blood test she had was clear too.So my advice to you would be to speak to your vet,tell him/her everything that has been going on i.e. when she was mated,when you first noticed the discharge and so on and if it isnt smelly or theres not that much of it he may say to keep an eye on her but if he says bring her in then ask him to give you an appointment when there are no other dogs in the surgery.I hope you get this sorted as i know how worrying it can be,let us know how you get on.
