Can anyone help, I'm wanting to know how to go about showing my Staffy boy, he's just over 1 now and I haven't got a clue where to start.  I know that there is a show not to far away from where I live next month and I would like to enter him in that but really don't have the foggiest of ideas.  I've done a bit research on the breed standard and my opinion is he's lovely, I'm just curious to know what everyone else thinks of him, any help would be really aprreciated. Thanks :D

Take him along to your nearest ringcraft to get used to standing/ being handled/ checking his teeth etc
and then enter him into a show :)
You will get an idea of other show dogs and what the judge likes ( bearing in mind that different judges like different dogs and different standards of course)
Good luck :)

and if you need more advice - just PM me :)

Hopefully there will be Staffie owners at the ringcraft or at least other Bull breed owners and the bull breeds are shown in a different way to other breeds. The are shown with the head to the center of the ring and not the profile as is the norm with most other dogs. Good luck and I hope you enjoy you venture into the world of dog showing, it may also help if you joined one to the breed clubs and if his breeder shows tell them you are keen to get going they should help you.

Unfortunately you can't just take your dog along unless the show is a companion show. All other shows have to be entered well in advance so you will need to get a schedule and enter.
