hi,my friend has a japanese akita,most of the time during the day his in the garden,he will not let allow anyone in the garden,except members of her family,or anyone who is with her at that time,the probelm his if someone came entered her garden and the dog hurts them,what grounds will she have to stand on against the law.she loves her dogs too bits.you never know when someone will enter her garden.e.g a burglar.pls advise

Under the Occupiers Liability Act you have to legally ensure there is no danger to anyone on your property and that includes tresspassers, burgalers, "invitees" who can be the milkman/postman/gasman/visitors/window cleaner etc.
It would be "foreseeable" that this dog could possibly injure someone in these circumstances and therefore there is the possibility of  both  civil/criminal proceedings against the owner and possibly the dog destroyed :(
