hi i love drawing and sketching well art in general i can draw a dobermann in side pose but i would love to learn how to draw dogs ie their faces and what they look like in general can anyone recommend any websites who give tutorials etc most of all i want to be able to sketch from photos and real life i would love to be able to draw storm and starr and our other dogs zeus and cleo from photos that i have  (sadly died in 1988,1990, 1997 ,1998) as a present for my dad and of course mollie who we still have in a kind of portrait of their heads ,
any websites tips greatly appreciated , i know you can get books but i was hoping to start tomorrow while my dad is in america ......
it is his birthday on the 8th of june so this will be a suprise.

thank you i think he will love it mollie will look a bit out though as the other four were zeus a dobe ,cleo a rotte ,storm a dobe and starr a dobe and mollie the pom x terrier ,i have a lovely pic of storm overhead the computer and also a lovely one of starr and storm of their heads real cute dobe pose i loved the way they used to pose for the camera

for his 50th i am going to get him a dobe puppy because as he said before he hopes to have another dobe by the time he is 50 so i know he will be really happy only 6 years to go just have to make sure i find the right breeder .........

When i was younger, i wanted to be able to draw horses..... got a book called Draw 50 Horses by Lee J. Ames, and its really helped.

Shows you how to draw the basic body shapes, and then once you know that you can apply it to moving animals, etc.

I got a book called ''how to draw dogs''. If you go to a big book store and look in the ''art'' section there might be something there! Its a good idea for a pressie! :)
