Hi
met a lovely lady the other day with her family and a middle aged 'collie type' dog. We got talking ,as you do,and she said she'd bought her collie  from the local 'pet supermarket'. She said he was now 9 years old and payed £120 back then(def not cheap!!) but he wasn't registered because they told her that border collies weren't registered at all by the KC since there were so many different types. She knew now that she was conned and was very annoyed that she'd been taken in by thier story!!
Nice part of the story is that despite the collie being a bit unpredictable and being an obvious cross breed they still love him ...its such a shame when nice people get conned....but as she says she's learnt from experience and I'm glad the pup ended up being in a good home for life!
