hiya all, pure fresh raw tripe. what is your opinion?
i own 4 staffordshire bull terriers and thats what i feed my dogs on with added biscuit.
i have been told that this is not a very good feed, but my staffs are looking fantastic

For adult dogs I think you'll be ok.  For puppies I wouldn't go along this line having learnt the hard way.  My oldest Munster bitch as a youngster suffered growth plate problems on tripe as it is imbalanced in calcium to phosporous.  She was in a great deal of pain and at the same time, 2 other large breed pups (Ridgeback & Wolfhound) I knew of, also suffered similar problems, both being fed tripe too.

I wouldn't use anything else!! With added mixer, my dogs have been having it for around 20 yrs (not the same dogs, obviously :D) My puppies also have other things tho' until they've finished growing (raw chicken wings, eggs, bones etc)

Tripe is a wonderful food but NOT when fed to the exclusion of everything else.  Tripe does not CAUSE problems in itself, ie it is not dangerous or improper to feed but it you will not find enough calcium/phosphorus for a dog therefore Tripe should be fed as part of the "whole animal" approach eg feed it, but also feed muscle meat and raw meaty bones and offal; that way you will ensure the nutritional needs of your dog are met.
