Hi just been too the vets to see if he could palpatate her too see if she is in whelp,but came back none the wiser,shes 23 days today,nice and slender before she fell,now ribs are bloated,teats are nice and enlarged and pink and also she has a white discharge this will be her first litter,shes a labrador,the vet said he wants too see megan in 2 wks time i thought this would be too late and surely i would be able too see for my self by then wouldnt I ?We are both 1st timers,but i have the bible BOTB .Julia

Sounds to me like she is def pregnant.daisy had the same symptoms, she's a lab and she's had two litters.Can't believe the vet couldn't feel anything though, has she been behaving any differently?Daisy was more clingy and bad tempered with the other dogs!!mind you she's only 3 weeks gone, in another four weeks you wil be able to see much mre difference!!good luck:)ps the BOTB is brill isn't it!!

Well we had my Daisy palpated too around the 4th week.  And even though she had 15 pups inside of her, the vet couldn't feel a thing.  It wasn't until about the 5th week that she suddenly doubled in size and there was no longer any doubt about her pregnancy.  (she's a Golden Retriever)

Think it may have been a little early from palpation even, my vet will only do it from about 28 days good luck anyway

There is something going on with megan,My friend saw magan today,she didnt even know that i had mated her,and even she said that there was something different about her, usually labs make a fuss when you have visitors,she said hello in her own little way then sat by me all afternoon.She said that shes blown her ribcage out or shes put on weight.

have you concidered having an Altra Sound? they like to do this after 28 days:) its the best way to find out it doesn't harm the dog and you get a fair idea of how many pups if any to expext:) I wouldn't have it any other way:) here in Australia its $80.00 upwards but I think its worth it:)
