I'e searched the web and can't find any details on how to groom a Patterdale.  Do you hand-strip, clip or neither???

Depends on the coat, is it very harsh, soft, coarse or short?  Harsh coats will strip, soft coats won't.  Long soft coats can be clipped.  Short soft coats should be left alone. Patterdales coats vary a lot.
