At Newark on Saturday,  I picked up a schedule for the N.S.F.K.A show on May 22nd.  The closing date had passed - 24th April, but this morning I phoned the secretary and asked if she would accept a late entry.  I presume it was her husband I spoke to, as she was at work, who told me in no uncertain terms that 'NO' she wouldn't accept entries now - the schedules shouldn't have been out - he would like to know who put them there!

I just hope he gets some entries in that breed now as I know they're always low on numbers - I'm sure there was no need for him to be so rude!   Now I've let off steam, I'm back to work!

I was at Newark on Saturday too, and I was given a schedule for the Edwinston & Dstrict C.S. show on Sunday 30th May - entries close 24/04/04, the person handing out the schedules told me not to worry about the closing date as long as I entered this week.

I've been asked in the past (including this Saturday) if I'd enter shows where the closing date has elapsed - especially as beagles are very unrepresented at open shows, which is why I was quite surprised at this chaps attitude.

At the moment there are problems with the Oxford area with the post and the KC will give extensions if requested, and you are correct there is no need to be rude to you. Think on this though, may be he works nights, his wife/partner is the show secretary and he is totally Pi*sed off with answering the phone over the last 2 months. No excuse, but understandable.

Perhaps he had male pmt?

At our shows we will accept entries as long as the printer is happy which can be a week + after the closing date after all people do forget ;) done it myself & I think do unto others etc

Even got a fax machine installed to accept entries & wiil accept e malied lones if people get really stuck

Just wish we could afford to do on line entries just done Birmingham on line & faxed Blackpool today

Hello I like Debbie had a schedule foisted upon me at Newark Sat and the woman was adamant that entries were still being accepted all this coming week she said. I have posted mine off too, but maybe the cheque will be returned then :(
