Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Changing dog food advice please

Hi
I have a 15mth old tibetan terrier-he is currently being fed on Pedigree Complete. He has had problems with blocked anal glands-after reading about alternative dog food I would like to try "Burns". Can anyone please recommend this food? Or has anyone got any advice with changing dog foods?
Also where is the best place to buy burns from-does on-line direct from Burns work out the cheapest?

Hi Murphy999

We feed Burns and are very pleased with it. You could first have a look at their website Here and then give them a call.  The staff are extremely helpful and you'll be able to discuss your own dog's needs and they will help you to plan which variety to feed and also how to change over to it.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Murphy,I also feed Burns having changed fairly recently and I have been very pleased with the results. If you contact them they will send samples of all flavours by return. I like to buy small amounts at a time so do not buy on line or pay postage, there are lots of stockists and Burns will tell you the nearest one to you. I asked my local pet shop and although they don't stock Burns they get it in for me and a couple of other customers also for the same price as advertised on the site. I use the lamb and rice or venison and rice and Kelty treats. Since changing to Burns I have noticed a marked improvement in coat, general fitness and a much fresher breath. I understand some dogs fed on Burns seem to be on the lean side, I only have one 13 year old dog at the moment and she has a heart murmur so being slim for her is no bad thing.
