Hi All

My Westie (Angus) has started to scratch his ears (particularly his left one) and I've noticed that there is dry skin inside his ears.  I've used a proprietary make of ear drops that I got form the pet shop which seems to stop the itching for a while, but the dry skin is still there. There is no discharge or smell from his ears.  Has anyone got any suggestions before I take him to the vet?

I would just take him to the vets, he could have picked up a mite or something from the grass.

If you do bath him make sure his ears are cleaned and dried 100%. It is also worth making dure his ears are hair free in the inner ear, whoever grooms him should probably do this. :-)
