I am based in the Essex area and am currently looking for a young dog. I have experience with the breed and require a dog of about 18mths with a very good temperament and  sound history,as I have a young daughter. The good health of the dog is also paramount. I would be keen to talk with anyone who thinks that they might have a dog that would fit my criteria.

have you tried breed rescue ??? There are lots of GSD dogs requiring new homes

Have you tried contacting Guide Dogs?  'Reject' GSD's are always more difficult to rehome.  Try contacting Redbridge, which I think is the nearest large centre to you, alternatively look on www.guidedogs.org.uk

I have a mascani bitch and she's wonderful!!  Mo Lakin is so nice and helpful.  (I know this is off the thread, but I can't help singing Sasha's and Mo's praises :D)

I know them well and they are very good about finding the right dog for the right person.  They are going to be at All About Dogs next weekend so you could talk to them there as hopefully it isn't far from you.
