Can anyone tell me more about male dog mastitis?
My 10 month old staff  dog has just been diagnosed with it and I am a bit miffed. In my ignorance I thought it was only a female problem.
He also has hayfever any advice on treatment for either other than anti biotics or anti histamines?
Any info will be greatfully read. Thanks

Male dog like male humans have breast tissue and can suffer from the same sort of breast problem as can the bitch, they are much less common but not unknown.

Did the vet not give you antibiotics of the breast infection and yes antihistamine will help with an allergic reaction to pollen, if the vet has suggested this why are you not going to give it a try. I would certainly give the antibiotics you do not want that condition to get any worse
