Our 12 year old Westie, Cassie, has just been diagnosed with this disease. Our Vet doesnt seem to know to much about it.I have read about it on American Westie sites,it is not good news. Any one out there with any info much appreciated.

Sorry can't offer much more help.  It isn't that common  I am led to believe but when it appears it is generally when they are a bit older as in your dogs case.
