Recently we have caught my dog eating his own mess. He has been a bit strange lately
and not his normal good self. Before we could of left him while we went to work and there was no accidents, and now we are lucky to have one day without a mess being left.
We have also noticed that when he is being walked he is eating loads of grass,n could he be ill or lacking something.
Thanks
(ps he is not left for any more length of time than before and its not extreme periods and not every day)

Does he do it when you're around as well???? If not it's hopefully his way of dealing with the stress of being alone, or it may be the result of old fashioned toilet training :( Maybe something has happened while you were out that's upset him? If you have any doubts about his health you should see a vet.
One reason could be a just a bad habit that your dog has developed or it maybe lacking something in its diet either way you will have to be a bit more vigilant to try to stop the behaviour. The trouble is they often eat it before you have realised they have done it!
