Yes it is a good day out -but not if its boiling hot ! some of the parts you have to keep the windows closed and it's slow going  -so it can get very hot and bothered in the car
Enjoy it though -watch out for the monkeys -they always manage to sit with their bums right on the sunroof !!! Kids'll love it !! :D :D

Knowsley Safari Park - Its near Liverpool - I havn't been for a few years but  you drive your car through enclosures and the animals roam around -sometimes they come quite close ( I've seen Lions on Bonnets !!!!!)They have lovely elephants there and they all have plenty of space -the monkeys are really cheeky lol .
There is a bit of a funfair at the end.

Oooh and don't drink too much before you go round - I had to carry two coke cans of wee round with me last time -Bleurgh :D

Oh, thats a bit far for me, but maybe if we go camping up that way one day I will pay a visit, sounds good - dont think I would be driving MY car round there though with those monkeys, I think it would be OH's car :D :D

Excellent day out you get a tape/cd when you pay which gives a running commentry.Be carefull with the monkeys, there is an alternative route if you dont want them over the car but they are one of the highlights. One made off with a number plate when we were there. You can drive around as many times as you like .At the end as someone mentioned is funfair, restaurant also childrens petting farm, parrot and sealion shows .Shows are included in the price and very good.

Blondebird,
Have you visited Moors Valley Country Park,Ashley Heath nr Ringwood Hants?
We had a great time there.Younger children can have a pony ride,go on the steam train, play in the parks or take the play trail (this trail caters for all ages including my Son and he's 25!) lol
The adults can also Go-ape through the trees there, for a price! My other son and his girlfriend were 'tarzan and jane' for over 2hours :D

Really good day out and you can take the dog/s!!
Jacqueline.

Knowsleys  not toooo far from me
The kids will ove it but watch out for the car with the monkeys - Ive had a reg plate broken off and they love aerials and mirrors :) but the kids will love them as they jump all over the car.
Theres also a very small fair there for the youngest and picnic spots :)

yes  we all went    -----  had a great   time   ----  but my little one was terrified of the big monkeys  jumping on the car...

fair is a bit over priced though
