My bitch is 6 months old and for the past couple of months she had developed a really bad smell. I bathed her yesterday as the smell got so bad and this morning when I got up it the smell is back.

Any Ideas what it could be. My boy doesn't smell like that.

Could she have rolled in Foxes poo.  Sometimes it is not obvious, they just put one side of their neck to the ground.  Have a smell around the neck area and see if it is worse there.

Failing that it could be that her anal glands need emptying.  Does she drag her bottom along the floor? If it is this, then if you have never emptied them before you will need to take her to the vet or to someone who knows how to do it.

What breed is she?

My friends cocker developed the most awful smell, no amount of bathing cured it.  They took him to the vet and it was the fold at the side of his mouth :(  which was infected.   Apparently its common in dogs with loose flews.  Once you smell that smell you never forget it :)

I believe Demodex gives off a sickly sweet smell - maybe it's worth getting her checked if the smell is persistent.
