Just wandered what most people fed their bitch whilst they are feeding puppies, my dog had her pups yesterday and I gave her some weetabix milk and honey as a first meal, which she really enjoyed, but what do most people give to encourage good strong bones in the pups.

I feed mine on what ever the pups will be weaned on a good puppy food and a little goats milk now and then ...i offer 4 meals at least a day to nursing bitches ...hope all is going well ?

I feed mine on her usual raw diet - just lots more of it.  Her pups are now six weeks, well grown and she is just starting to wean them, regurgitated her morning meal for them yesterday.

I have been giving them solids for a couple of weeks but she has continued to feed them throughout and has free access to them if she wishes.

My bitch quite enjoyed a little of the  puppy porriage I had bought for the puppies.  Good quality beef mince , chicken , basically a good balanced diet I think.
